Inspiriert vom permanent im Wandel begriffenen Lifestyle der Gegenwart gewähren Petra von Kazinyans realistische Acrylgemälde fragmentarische Einblicke in das urbane Leben unserer Zeit: Im Zentrum ihrer Arbeiten steht  oft der Mensch von heute, in Close-ups und Momentaufnahmen wird er vor dem Hintergrund der Gesellschaft, in der er lebt und sich bewegt, gezeigt, teils als private, teils als öffentliche Person, immer aber living under the lens.

Inspired by the permanently changing urban lifestyle, Petra von Kazinyan traces the ambivalent mixture of cultural tendencies and individual concepts of today's people in her realistic paintings.
Modern human beings are viewed against their social background, always living under the lens; and in the obtrusive style of close-ups and snapshots, complex situations are reduced to an exemplary detail or a fleeting moment while the untold circumstances flourish in obscurity.
